Carl is the role model who stands steady, grounded, and shows the way forward. If he had a last name, it would be Lighthouse, steady, bright and always there when you need direction.

How did I end up here?

The path is not always a straight line. I grew up on a farm in the heart of Skåne, Sweden and today I run a company that creates beauty products for men.

The Story

In 2019, I joined CARL&SON. I quit a wellpaid job to follow my entrepreneurial dream. Just two months later, the owners filed CARL&SON for bankruptcy. Not the start I had imagined. But instead of giving up, I saw potential for myself, and for CARL&SON.

Beyond sustainable skincare, we had been developing a new concept: “no makeup makeup for men.” A whole new world had opened up to me.
Is it really this easy to take care of yourself and look fresher?
More men need to know this.

With a bankrupt brand in my hands, I flew to Italy to attend Cosmoprof, the world’s largest beauty fair, to show CARL&SON to the world. The response was overwhelming: we were nominated for Best Makeup Product and described by an international trendspotter as a brand that “redefines masculinity.”

That was all I needed. I bought CARL&SON and defined our vision:

“CARL&SON redefines masculinity by inspiring and educating men to embrace beauty as a natural expression of self-care, inside and out.”

Ever since steps have been made but there is so much more to do. The journey has just begun…

We’re inspired by Scandinavian simplicity: clean design, honest communication, and high-performing products made with care. Every formula and product are developed to help you look and feel your best.

Our Swedish roots

It shape every step of our product development. All body and skincare are produced in Sweden with minimum 95% natural ingredients, without; microplastics; silicones; sulphates or parabens.

Our makeup is crafted in Italy, a country with world-leading expertise in color cosmetics. Tools and accessories are produced in China, in close partnership with trusted manufacturers who share our commitment to quality and responsibility. No matter where production takes place, every CARL&SON product is developed with care and quality at heart

Should never pay the price for good products. That’s why CARL&SON chooses vegan formulas that are clean, effective and kind to your skin and the world around you.

Your safety is fundamental

Dermatology, the science of skin health. Quality is at the core of everything we do. Every CARL&SON product undergoes dermatological testing to ensure optimal skin compatibility.

Independent specialist laboratories perform controlled irritation tests on carefully selected panels with sensitive skin to challenge our standards.

Each product is applied for 48 hours, after which dermatologists evaluate the skin’s response with clinical precision.

CARL&SON products are rated non-irritant, the best possible classification.

We never test on animals

And we only work with partners who share our commitment to ethical and responsible development.

A sustainable mindset

We don’t just evaluate ingredients we also take responsibility for packaging and materials.

That’s why our tubes are made from sugar cane plastic: a renewable resource that reduces dependence on fossil fuels and lowers environmental impact.

Because we believe small choices can make a big difference.
